Alexander Merkel

Alexander has over 15 years of experience working with Russian and international companies from various industries and has been Head of KPMG South Regional Center of since 2012. Alexander is responsible for the audit and interaction with private and public companies that prepare financial statements in accordance with various accounting standards (IFRS, RAP and US GAAP). He has an in-depth practical knowledge in assisting companies in transitioning from RAP to IFRS and supporting companies in the process of initial placement of shares and bonds on the recognized international and Russian exchanges. Alexander began his career with KPMG in the United States, where during 3 years he actively participated in the audits of corporate financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP.
