Sunil Gaitonde

Sunil Gaitonde is the Co-Founder and Director at kPoint. Prior to kPoint, Sunil was a Board Member at GS Lab from January 2003 to November 2021. Before GS Lab, Sunil was the CEO at Sarvega from January 2000 to December 2003 where they raised capital from west coast, east coast and Midwest VCs while headquartered in the Midwest. Sunil also contributed to the original product vision of Sarvega and later, to business development, sales and the eventual acquisition by Intel. The Sarvega story has become a case study at the Harvard Business School.

From October 1995 to June 2000, Sunil was a Senior Manager at Cisco Systems where they were responsible for building innovative software products and managing a large team of engineers to understand market requirements, design, implement and deploy Cisco's appliance products. Sunil contributed to the vision of multiple products and led the software delivery of IPXchange, Micro Webserver and the Cache Engine.

Prior to Cisco Systems, Sunil was the Co-founder and VP of Engineering at Internet Junction from October 1994 to October 1995.

Sunil Gaitonde's educational career began at Balmohan Vidyamandir, where they completed their schooling. Sunil then went on to study B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Engineering at Iowa State University.
