Tom Emison

VP, Strategy at Kraus-Anderson

Tom is responsible for leading the research, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the strategic plans for Kraus-Anderson Realty, Kraus-Anderson Development, Kraus-Anderson Construction, and Kraus-Anderson Insurance. Tom also provides strategic planning consulting directly to clients of the Kraus-Anderson Insurance Agency, with a focus on architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate clients. He is a regarded nationally as a strategic business planning thought leader in the architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate industry. He has delivered more than 250 strategic business planning consulting engagements to companies across the U.S.. He co-created the Build Me Up! KA podcast and is a contributing writer to many industry publications including the Associated General Contractors of America’s “Constructor,” Construction Financial Management Association’s “Building Profits,” and for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. He serves on the board of trustees of the Multiple Sclerosis Society Upper Midwest, The Salvation Army Advisory Board, and was vice chair of the board of the Building Futures Council, a Washington, D.C. think tank.​
