Can Unver

Can Unver currently serves as the Chief Risk and Security Officer and Executive Vice President at KKB Kredi Kayıt Bürosu, leading a team of 9 seasoned risk management professionals to establish a robust risk management framework in Turkey since January 2018. Prior experience includes a tenure at EY from 2011 to 2018, where contributions spanned from generating $1M annually in IT governance and information security to managing the ISO 27001 implementation for major energy corporations. Can Unver also played a pivotal role in developing the IT Audit Manual for Turkish public institutions and conducting the impact assessment for the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture. Earlier roles include research assistant and IT specialist at METU, where responsibilities involved web application development and course instruction, alongside a brief experience as an environmental engineer at The Coca-Cola Company. Can Unver holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Accounting & Finance, both from Middle East Technical University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from the same institution.
