Geneviève Bertrand

Geneviève Bertrand is currently the SVP of Information Technology at Kruger. Prior to that, they were with G. Bertrand Conseils from January 2017 to November 2017 as the Conseillère exécutive Technologies, Solutions et Direction de Programme de Transformation. Before that, they were with Desjardins from May 2014 to December 2016 as the Vice-présidente-CIO Desjardins Groupe Assurances Générales.

Prior to their current positions, Ms. Bertrand was with Accenture from September 2009 to October 2014 as an Associée (Managing Director). During their time there, they were responsible for the realignment of the business plan and the 5 phases of deployment of a 250+ million SAP transformation program, putting in place the structure of the program management and delivery in time of Phase 1 allowing the program to continue successfully. Geneviève also managed more than six professional services programs with a 15-50M budget, teams of 50-350 people with responsibilities including: planning, specification, development, testing, change management, communication, training, deployment by integrating them into internal or external shared service models over the past nine years.

Ms. Bertrand was also the program manager for the implementation of shared services and the SAP integrated business processes system for global human resources, finance, accounting and procurement for a Canadian subsidiary of a global pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution company. In addition, they have defined the technology infrastructure needs and business case for the implementation of a “Cloud” infrastructure for a Canadian generic pharmaceutical manufacturer. Geneviève has also reduced integration risks through systematic management of issues, priorities and actions as well as their consolidation in a weekly dashboard to report to the President’s office on the progress of the integration team for a Canadian wireless telecommunications company.

Ms. Bertrand is also the founder of a Canadian Mentorship program for women at Accenture and spokesperson for recruitment, advancement and retention initiatives for women at Accenture Montreal from 2008 to 2013. Geneviève has also been responsible for managing Accenture Montreal’s francization committee and responsible for delivering integration services for Accenture Montreal’s office. Lastly, they have been a career manager and coach for more than thirty (30) Canadian employees and alumni.

Geneviève Bertrand has a M.Sc. in Gestion des opérations et de la production from Université de Montréal - HEC Montréal, a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Gestion des opérations et de la production & Économie from Université de Montréal - HEC Montréal, and a CEGEP in Sciences de la Vie from CEGEP Ahuntsic. Geneviève also has a High School Diploma in Diplômes et certificats d'études secondaires / secondaires from Horizon Jeunesse High School.
