Kukun Names Ralph McLaughlin to the Board

Kukun, a data and analytics company that is reinventing major aspects of the massive home remodeling market, announces the appointment of Ralph McLaughlin to their Board of Advisors. In addition to advising the board, Ralph will also be responsible for advising Kukun’s data science team in developing predictive housing market analytics and products.

Prior to joining Kukun, Mr. McLaughlin held roles as Chief Economist at Trulia, Deputy Chief Economist at CoreLogic, and currently serves as Chief Economist at Haus and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California. Some of his additional skills and experience include housing market economics, applied econometrics, real estate development and investment, land use planning, spatial analysis, and economic geography.

He graduated with a PH.D. in Planning, Policy, and Designs From the University of California, Irvine, after graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in Geography and Regional Development.

Kukun Welcomes Bill Walker as Its New COO

Kukun, a platform that helps homeowners, contractors, and financial institutions plan, fund and complete home improvement projects, has officially announced that Bill Walker will serve as its Chief Operating Officer. He will work from the company’s office in Menlo Park, California and report to the company’s CEO and Founder Raf Howery. In this role, he will be responsible for the consumer business, including direct response channels, user experience, consumer/industry partnerships, growth marketing, brand, and communications. Walker has over 20 years of financial services, consumer marketing, and operations experience. He most recently served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Unison, where he and his team grew customer acquisition by 100x and crafted Unison’s customer experience, consumer acquisition and core assets. He also served as SVP of Customer Experience at Prosper Marketplace and held executive positions at Barclaycard and MBNA. Walker stated, "As a homeowner and real estate investor, I am excited to join Kukun because of the team's dedication to providing homeowners with unbiased calculators for estimating/completing home improvement projects, maintaining their homes, project finance and insurance and keeping track of all of the important information about their home."
