Bhaskar Chakrabarti

Bhaskar Chakrabarti has over 27 years of experience in the field of geology, currently serving as a Senior Geologist in the Reservoir Development Team within the New Venture Group at Kuwait Oil Company since February 2008. In this role, Bhaskar specializes in prospect generation in newly acquired 3D areas, exploratory location selection, and brown field exploration and appraisal, with a focus on tight and naturally fractured reservoirs. Prior to this, Bhaskar worked at Schlumberger as a Geologist in Data and Consulting Services from January 2007 to February 2008, and at the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd as Deputy Superintending Geologist from August 1996 to December 2006. Bhaskar holds an M.Sc. in Applied Geology from Jadavpur University and a Junior Research Fellowship focusing on the evolution of low-grade metapelites and associated manganese ores.
