Abid Ismail Syed

Abid Ismail Syed is an experienced professional in operations and project management, currently serving as the Director of Operations at LabWare for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) since March 2017, focusing on laboratory informatics, advanced data analytics, and IT enterprise applications. Prior to this role, Abid held the position of Manager for project delivery and professional services at LabWare, contributing expertise in LabWare ELP, LIMS, and ELN. Between January 2005 and January 2017, Abid served as the Projects & Operations Manager for Informatics at Naizak, overseeing operations and projects involving Thermo LIMS and other informatics solutions. Previous roles include Cisco Networking Consultant at Computer World in Bahrain and Network Engineer at Jeraisy Computers & Communications, where responsibilities included managing data networks for Saudi Aramco. Abid holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai, earned between 1988 and 1991.
