James Dawson

James Dawson is the current Managing Director of Capital Markets at Lakestar. Prior to this, they were an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley from March 2004 to August 2021, specializing in technology sales. From January 2002 to December 2005, they were a VP at JP Morgan. And from January 1998 to December 2002, they were in equity research at Kleinwort Benson.

James Dawson would have completed a degree in PPE at Oxford University, and then gone on to Solihull School.

They are on a team with Steve Jacobs - Venture Partner, Nicolas Brand - Partner, and Ninja Struye De Swielande - Partner, CCO & Head of Investor Relations. James Dawson reports to Mika Salmi, Managing Partner.
