Christian Thaning

Christian Thaning is a seasoned professional in the agricultural industry, currently serving as Vice VD of Lantmännen Bioagri AB since 2013, with a focus on global business development in marketing management across Brazil and the EU, as well as IPR and regulatory affairs. Thaning's experience includes leadership roles at Lantmännen in R&D and product development, where biopesticides were developed, and collaboration with the Swedish Minister of Enterprise as an invited delegate project leader at Regeringskansliet. Additional roles encompass heading a research station at SLU focused on horticulture and agriculture, managing R&D at Lantmännen, and early career positions in crop protection consultancy and military service. Thaning holds a Ph.D. in Agronomy and Crop Science and an agronomist degree from SLU, complemented by military education as a reserv officer from Försvarshögskolan.
