Boya Zhang

Boya Zhang is a staff scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since September 2020, following a tenure as a postdoctoral researcher. Prior experience includes serving as a graduate fellow in the Virginia Tech Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics from May 2020 to August 2020, focusing on data science initiatives for public good. Zhang worked as a research assistant and instructor at Virginia Tech from January 2016 to May 2020, where instruction included teaching Biological Statistics to undergraduate students and collaborating on various research projects involving experimental design and data analysis. Educationally, Zhang holds a PhD and an MS in Statistics from Virginia Tech and a BS in Mathematics from Sun Yat-sen University.
