Rachel Watson-Clark

Rachel Watson-Clark currently serves as the Principal Leader for Advanced Materials at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Rachel spent 15 years at The Clorox Company, where significant contributions included serving as Director of Research Development for Global Technical Discovery in Cleaning, leading long-term technology strategy and creating a technology pipeline that enhanced business opportunities. Rachel also held the position of Director of Research Development for Renew Life, where innovative product formulations and manufacturing approaches were reimagined to enhance consumer experience and cost efficiency. Earlier roles at Clorox included Associate Director for both the Cleaning and Specialty Divisions, managing R&D efforts that resulted in product improvements and significant cost savings. Rachel earned a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from UCLA and a BS in Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College.
