Arika Spencer-Brown

Director of College & Career Pathways at Leadership Public Schools

Dr. Arika Spencer-Brown is delighted to be a part of the LPS team. She was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. but has now resided in the Bay Area for over 24 years. She comes with over 25 years of experience in teaching and education administration at the early education, primary, secondary, and collegiate levels. Dr. Spencer-Brown holds her Undergraduate Degree in Child Development from Sacramento State University, a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University.

Dr. Spencer-Brown has a strong track record in the development and sustainment of educational programs. She brings deep knowledge of equitable education, diversity/inclusion and community partnerships. In addition, she holds great passion for fostering the education of young people and as the Director of College and Career Pathways, her main goal is to create endless opportunities for LPS students through access to higher education and career pathway partnerships. In addition, she values cross-cultural staff collaboration because teamwork produces strong results for those we serve.

Dr. Spencer-Brown is ecstatic about upholding LPS's mission of educational equity, increasing student access, and furthering innovative educational approaches for deserving students. Fun fact about Dr. Spencer-Brown: She loves Disney.
