Matthew Kiewiet

Matthew Kiewiet is an experienced journalism professional with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northern Arizona University and an Associate’s Degree in Journalism from Pasadena City College. Currently serving as the Virginia Sports Director at Lee Enterprises since April 2024, Kiewiet previously held the position of Managing Editor at the Helena Independent Record from January 2023 to March 2024 and at The Montana Standard from November 2020 to March 2024. Earlier roles include Sports Editor and Managing Editor at The Montana Standard, Sports Reporter at Helena Independent Record, and Copy Editor at The Bulletin. Additionally, Kiewiet has experience as an intern at the Arizona Daily Sun and held leadership roles at The Lumberjack Student Newspaper and PCC Courier during earlier studies.
