Jeroen Oosterbaan is a seasoned professional in archaeology and academia, currently serving as a PhD candidate at Leiden University since September 2019, focusing on international trade research related to packaging materials. As a self-employed archaeologist since April 2013, Jeroen is involved in significant urban archaeological projects, notably in Deventer. Co-owner of BAN Beroepsregistratie Archeologie Nederland since July 2016, responsibilities include administering assessments for the Actorregister Archeologie. Jeroen also serves as a lecturer at Saxion University of Applied Sciences since April 2014, where various archaeology modules are taught. Prior experience includes project leadership roles at ARC BV and archaeological work with the municipality of Nijmegen, with formal education comprising a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Archaeology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam, respectively.
