Sharon Curran

CEO at Lenape Valley Foundation

Serving as Chief Executive Officer of Lenape Valley Foundation, Sharon Curran oversees the delivery of services to more than 12,000 individuals through over 30 programs throughout Bucks County and the surrounding areas. In this role, she ensures the organization’s clinical and administrative teams, comprised of nearly 400 employees, and upholds the mission of partnering with members of the community encountering mental health, substance use, intellectual or developmental challenges as they pursue their personal aspirations and an enhanced quality of life.

Previously serving in multiple leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer, Curran has been an integral member of the organization for over 20 years. Among her many accomplishments are the 2019 opening of The Lodge at Lenape Valley Foundation, Bucks County’s first crisis residential program, and the significant expansion and enhancement of the organization’s outpatient, crisis and children’s services. Curran’s clinical expertise is specialized in the treatment of personality disorders, self-mutilation and trauma. Her experience within the mental health and human services industry spans nearly 30 years.

Curran’s leadership in the behavioral healthcare community has been recognized through her involvement in numerous county-wide initiatives including serving as Co-Chair of the Bucks County Crisis Intervention Team Taskforce and as past Co-Chair of the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Taskforce.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania, Sharon holds a Master of Social Work from Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University with a healthcare specialization. Among her professional certifications and honors, she is a certified Mental Health First Aid trainer, co-recipient of the American Red Cross Real Heroes Award and a trainer for various professional and community organizations.
