Art Newton

Art Newton is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in research and development, primarily at LensAR Inc., where roles include Director of Engineering and Interim Director of Clinical Application. Art has successfully established departmental priorities, mentored a team of 16 specialists, and significantly expanded clinical application personnel. Previous positions at Alcon involved directing test methods and metrology equipment development while managing complex projects, alongside roles at Axcelis Technologies focusing on software integration and product development. Art's career began at AGFA Corporation as a Mechanical Engineer. Art holds an MBA from Boston University and advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
