VP Engineering at Liberty Energy

Leen Weijers is currently the VP of Engineering at Liberty Oilfield Services. Prior to that, they spent 16 years with Pinnacle Technologies, where they served as the Rocky Mountain Regional Manager and Technical Development Manager - FracproPT. In their role as Rocky Mountain Regional Manager, they helped oil and gas operators gain knowledge about fracture growth behavior on hundreds of vertical and horizontal wells in all the key basins and formations in the Rocky Mountain region, including many fracture mapping projects in the Bakken formation in the Williston Basin. As Technical Development Manager - FracproPT, they were in charge of developing the industry’s most widely used hydraulic fracture growth simulator. Leen also calibrated fracture growth models with various fracture diagnostics, such as tiltmeter and microseismic fracture mapping technologies.

Leen Weijers earned a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Leen also holds an MSc in Mining and Petroleum Engineering (Geophysics) from Delft University of Technology.

Their manager is Chris Wright, CEO. They are on a team with Jim Brady - VP Operations, Mike Machovoe - Director of Business Development, and Sean Elliott - VP & General Counsel.
