Henri Courpron

Board member at Lilium

Henri Courpron is a French-American business executive who has held various leadership positions in the aviation industry. Henri is currently a board member at Lilium, a German electric aircraft company.

Courpron began their career in 1987 as the president and CEO of Airbus Industrie North America. Henri then moved to Seabury Aviation & Aerospace in 2007, where they served as president and regional head for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In 2010, they became the CEO of International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a subsidiary of American International Group (AIG).

ILFC was one of the world's largest aircraft leasing companies and Courpron was credited with turning it around after the global financial crisis of 2008. Henri oversaw ILFC's sale to AerCap in 2014 for $7.6 billion.

After ILFC, Courpron served on the boards of several airlines, including Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras and TAP Portugal. Henri is currently a board member of Breeze Airways, a US-based low-cost carrier founded by David Neeleman.

Henri Courpron studied computer science at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Electrotechnique d’Electronique d’Informatique et d’Hydraulique. Henri then went on to specialize in artificial intelligence.
