CTO at Little Otter

Cameron Gatling is the Chief Technology Officer at Little Otter, where they have served as the architect and product owner of Little Otter’s web and mobile applications, enabling the company to launch in 5 states within 6 months. Cameron has also planned and built out a multidisciplinary team of engineers, instilling them with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.

Gatling developed the product strategy and roadmap for Little Otter. Cameron worked closely with stakeholders to prioritize and execute on the most pressing features in an iterative, sprint-focused approach. Cameron also maintained a 99.99% SLA for uptime post-launch while still allowing the team to execute using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

Prior to joining Little Otter, Gatling was the Engineering Manager at Rocketrip, where they served as manager and technical lead for browser extension product and three third-party integrations, increasing user engagement with the Rocketrip platform by 100%. Cameron also managed a distributed team of software engineers based in New York City, including interviewing, making hiring decisions, setting objectives, reviewing performance, and maintaining a positive working environment.

Gatling has also developed templates and procedure for software testing, and software verification and validation. Cameron has also worked closely with non-technical management to establish a product roadmap.

Cameron Gatling received a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management from North Carolina State University. Cameron then studied abroad in ecology at Sapienza Università di Roma.

They work with Kyle Dillon - Head of Platform, Max Helzberg - COO, and Tam-Sanh Nguyen - Head of Data Engineering. Their manager is Rebecca Egger, Co-Founder & CEO.
