Shaykara Waajid

Shaykara Webster, MBA, has a diverse range of experience in HR and people operations. Their most recent role is as the Head of People at Livepeer, where they are responsible for hiring and onboarding, employee engagement and culture, and managing payroll and benefits. Prior to Livepeer, Shaykara founded and served as the CEO of 3MC Business Solutions, a business consulting company. Shaykara also worked at Microsoft as the Chief of Staff for the NTA Team. Before that, they held various roles at Incluzion, Women Who Code, WP Buffs, Instructional Connections, LLC, The Budd Group, Braids Weaves & Things, and Peoplelink Group. At these companies, they gained experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR operations. Shaykara is skilled in implementing processes and systems to support organizational needs and driving a people strategy aligned with company values and mission.

Shaykara Webster obtained their high school diploma from Blythewood High School in the years 2007 to 2011. Shaykara then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a focus on Pre-Law Studies. Following their undergraduate studies, Shaykara went on to pursue a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the Winthrop University College of Business from 2015 to 2017, with a concentration in Human Resource Management. In June 2017, they also obtained a certification in Inbound Marketing from HubSpot Academy.
