Heather Henyon

Heather Henyon has a diverse work experience in the investment and entrepreneurship field. Heather is currently a Founding Partner at Mindshift Capital, a global venture fund that invests in post-seed early-stage companies. Heather identifies companies with scalable technology and exceptional leadership to generate superior returns for investors. Prior to this, they founded and directed WAIN (Women's Angel Investor Network), the first and largest women's angel investor group in the Middle East. Heather closed nearly $1 million in early-stage equity funding for 10 women-led tech companies in the MENA region. Additionally, they trained 50 new women angel investors in Dubai. Heather is also a founding member, board director, and investment committee member at Dubai Angel Investors, an angel investor group that focuses on investing in technology start-ups in the Middle East and North Africa. Heather played a key role in setting up the company structure and onboarding investors. Heather has further served as an Investment Committee Member at NextWave Ventures and as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chairwoman of the Audit & Risk Committee at SEKEM Group. Heather has held board positions at various organizations including Localized, Little Thinking Minds, NeedsList, and Sarwa. Heather also served as an Advisory Board Member at Dumyé.

Heather Henyon pursued their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Political Science from Oberlin College, which they completed from 1991 to 1995. Continuously seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills, they then attended the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management from 2001 to 2003 and attained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, in 1994-1995, they briefly studied at The American University in Cairo, although the specific degree and field of study completed during this time were not provided.
