Emily Mccarthy

Emily McCarthy is the current Head of Secondment Operations at LOD, a position they have held since September 2020. Prior to this, they were the Head of People & Development at LOD HQ from November 2014 to April 2019.

Emily is a founding member of Lexvoco, where they served as Principal and Lawyer from November 2014 to April 2019. At Lexvoco, Emily focused on developing the talent platform, growing the team from 2 to over 100+, and managing the P&L for the talent service division. Under their leadership, Lexvoco received numerous awards and accolades, including being named a Telstra Business Awards finalist twice, a Financial Review Fast Starter three times, and LinkedIn Top Start-Up. In 2019, Lexvoco was acquired by private equity-backed leading legal services business LOD.

Emily is a passionate advocate for ensuring work is enjoyable and focused on developing learning and development, training, and other opportunities for their team. Emily is also a Solicitor in Victoria, admitted in 2016.

Emily Mccarthy completed their Master of Business Administration at The University of Sydney Business School. Emily also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Griffith University. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of International Relations from Griffith University.
