Wessie Ling

Wessie Ling is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as the Director of the CREATURE - Research Centre for Creative Arts, Cultures and Engagement and a Professor at London Metropolitan University since June 2020. Previously, Wessie Ling held the position of Inaugural Research Fellow at LASALLE College of the Arts for a brief period in 2022 and was a Reader at Northumbria University from 2013 to 2020. Additionally, Wessie Ling has been recognized with fellowships such as the Rita Bolland Fellowship at Stichting Nationaal Museum van Wereldculturen and the ASEAN Research Fellow at Mahidol University. Academic contributions also include visiting research scholar roles at Fu Jen Catholic University and The University of Hong Kong. Wessie Ling's educational credentials encompass a Master of Arts in Fine Art from the University of the Arts London and a PhD in Cultural Studies in Fashion from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
