William Young

Mr. Young is the Global President and Chief Legal Officer of Lone Star, responsible for management and operations of the organization and oversight of the legal and compliance function. Mr. Young serves as Chairman of Lone Star’s Global Risk and Market Risk Committees, is a member of the Legal and Compliance Risk Committee and is a member of certain portfolio company boards that are investments of certain Funds.

Mr. Young has over 30 years of experience in international business transactions. Mr. Young previously served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Staff and General Counsel to Lone Star, General Counsel to Hudson and General Counsel of Hudson’s European business unit. Before joining Hudson, Mr. Young was a Partner in the London and Dallas, Texas offices of Vinson & Elkins L.L.P., where he advised on international business transactions, with a particular emphasis on the acquisition, financing and disposition of loan and real estate portfolios, banks and other financial assets. Mr. Young served as the global head of Vinson & Elkins’ Finance practice, as a member of its management and compensation committees, and as co-head of the Dallas office. Mr. Young holds B.B.A and law degrees from the University of Mississippi.
