Tamara Armstrong is an accomplished information technology executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within higher education and state government. Currently serving as the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Information Technology at Loyola Marymount University since August 2022, Tamara previously held the position of Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer at Los Rios Community College District from July 2019 to October 2022. Tamara also contributed to the California Department of Technology between April 2015 and October 2022 as the Deputy Chief Project Officer, overseeing a significant IT investment portfolio aimed at enhancing service delivery across the state. As Executive Director of the California Project Management Office, Tamara was instrumental in establishing a statewide Center of Excellence for project management, advancing the execution of complex IT initiatives for state agencies.
