Tushar Patankar

Tushar Patankar is the Group Chief Risk Officer at L&T Finance Holdings. Tushar has over 19 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

Patankar started their career at ANZ in February 2011 as the Head of Client Portfolio Management for the Corporate and Institutional Banking division. In this role, they were responsible for achieving the country's budget, ensuring all transactions were completed within acceptable risk parameters, approving credit proposals, and identifying and taking action on deteriorating and high-risk credits. Patankar also built relationships with product partners, relationship management teams, and client services to achieve a healthy revenue-generating portfolio.

In May 2015, Patankar left ANZ to join IDFC FIRST Bank as the Head of Risk for Wholesale Banking. In this role, they were responsible for managing the credit risk of the bank's wholesale lending business. This included approving credit proposals, managing portfolios, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Patankar left IDFC FIRST Bank in January 2019 to join Bajaj Finserv as the Chief Commercial Credit Officer. In this role, they were responsible for managing the commercial lending portfolio of the company. This included approving credit proposals, managing portfolios, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Patankar left Bajaj Finserv in June 2020 to join L&T Finance Holdings as the Group Chief Risk Officer. In this role, they are responsible for managing the credit

Tushar Patankar is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Tushar has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Mithibai College in Accounting and Finance.
