Sekanawo Kasiya PhD is a Gender, Media, and Communication Expert at LUANAR-Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, with a research focus on Climate Change, Land tenure, Gender, Mass Media, and Communication since 2002. Previously, Sekanawo served as a Lecturer in Development Communication at the University of Malawi and held the position of Head of the Agriculture Education and Development Communication Department at Bunda College, University of Malawi from 2004 to 2006. Prior experience includes working as a Branch Manager at Pride Malawi from 2000 to 2002, delivering microfinance services using the Grameen model. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Development Studies from the University of Johannesburg, an MA in Mass Communication from the University of Leicester, and a BSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Malawi.
