Alberto Hernández Barranco

Postdoctoral Researcher at Ludwig Cancer Research

Alberto Hernández Barranco, PhD, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ludwig Cancer Research since October 2023. Prior experience includes a PhD Student role at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) from September 2017 to June 2023, complemented by an internship and final master's dissertation at CNIO in early 2017, focusing on the relevance of NGFR in extracellular vesicles during pre-metastatic niche formation. Alberto has also completed internships at Hospital Universitario de La Princesa and Centro de Biotecnología y Genómica de Plantas CBGP-UPM, where contributions included developing a model for studying non-small cell lung cancer and participating in lab practices on allergenicity and molecular plant biology. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Molecular Biomedicine from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
