Dorothea von Boxberg was named Chief Executive Officer and Chairwoman of the Board for Lufthansa Cargo in March of 2021. Prior to this, Dorothea von Boxberg was the Chief Commercial Officer for the division.

Carsten Spohr is the current CEO at [Lufthansa](/org/lufthansa). Prior to this, they were the CFO at Mercedes-Benz France from February 2014 to May 2016. Miriam Sapiro is a Supervisory Board Member at [Lufthansa](/org/lufthansa). Miriam has previously held positions at Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy, Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Asia House, [Sard Verbinnen & Co](/org/sard-verbinnen-co), [Lufthansa](/org/lufthansa), [U.S. Department of State](/org/department-of-state), and Finsbury.

Christina Foerster is the current Chief Customer Officer at [Lufthansa](/org/lufthansa). Christina has held this position since December 2019. Prior to this, they were the Chief Executive Officer at Brussels Airlines from October 2016 to December 2019. From October 2002 to September 2016, Christina Foerster was the SVP Network & Partner Management Hub Airlines (LH, LX, OS) at [Lufthansa](/org/lufthansa). Before that, they were a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from August 1999 to September 2002. During their time at BCG, Christina worked on a variety of client projects including portfolio review, joint venture creation, post-merger integration and strategy implementation in the industrial goods, telecommunication and financial services industries.

Michael began their career as the Managing Director at Hamburg Airport from January 1995 to August 2002 and later became the Assistant to MD at Verlag Norman Rentrop from July 1986 to July 1987.

Michael then went on to obtain a doctorate in doctor of philosophy from the Universität Göttingen. Finally, they obtained a Promotion in PH.D. from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main in the field of Vergleichende Wirtschaftspolitik.

Ashwin Bhat was named Chief Commercial Officer in March of 2021. As Lufthansa Cargo’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ashwin Bhat is responsible for the external organization of sales and handling, product, revenue management, pricing, network planning and sales management worldwide.

Bhat has been Vice President and Head of Cargo at Swiss International Air Lines in Zurich since October 2015. He joined the former Swisscargo AG in February 1999 and has held various positions in revenue management, transport management and global area management, until his most recent position as Head of Cargo for Swiss International Air Lines.

Ashwin Bhat, born in 1969, graduated with a Bachelor in Science, Major in Chemistry from the University of Mumbai, India in 1990 and worked for several years as an accounting manager for an airline financial services provider in Mumbai before starting his career in Zurich.
