Neil Sequeira

Neil is a co-founder and partner at Defy and has been an active venture capital investor for over two decades. He was previously a managing director at General Catalyst Partners for 11 years. Prior to GC he spent 4 years as a managing director at TimeWarner Investments and AOL Ventures. He was also previously with CMGI, Goldman Sachs, Accenture and Goldenvoice. Over his investing career, Neil has sat on more than 45 boards and has more than 12 meaningful IPO’s and acquisitions. At Defy, Neil is focused on connected software, deep technology, and consumer applications that help change the way we work and play. He is dedicated to helping amazing founders and teams change the world for the better by improving efficiency, security, commerce, performance, and insights by leveraging technology, data, and analytics. He holds a BA in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.Neil is an active supporter of public education and is currently a Trustee and on the governing board of the Woodside Unified School District.
