Rakesh Kapoor

Rakesh Kapoor is an accomplished materials scientist and business leader with extensive experience in board governance and operational management across various industries. Currently serving as a board member for NeoGraf Solutions, LLC, Luxium Solutions, and AmeriWater, Rakesh has been an influential figure at Iten Defense, LLC and Edgewater Capital Partners, where Rakesh operates as an Operating Partner in the Materials Outovation Practice. Rakesh has held significant leadership roles, including CEO of Materials Outovation LLC, and has a proven track record of identifying substantial growth opportunities for established companies. Prior to these roles, Rakesh spent 17 years at Saint-Gobain, advancing through positions such as Worldwide Commercial Director of Engineered Ceramics and Worldwide R&D Director of Saint-Gobain Abrasives. Rakesh's educational background includes a Sc.D. and S.M. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
