Joseph Maalouf

Joseph Maalouf is a Senior Chemical Engineer at Lydian since March 2023. Previously, Joseph conducted electrocatalysis research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2017 to February 2023, focusing on the development of catalysts and redox mediators for electrochemically synthesizing plastic monomers, utilizing high throughput computation and machine learning. At Stanford University from 2015 to June 2017, Joseph worked on heterogeneous catalysis research, developing bimetallic single site catalysts for methane combustion and carbon dioxide reduction. Additionally, Joseph served as a Math and Physics Tutor at the Stanford Center for Teaching and Learning during the same period. Joseph holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honors and Academic Distinction in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University.
