Lydia Stefanova

Lydia Stefanova is a seasoned Physical Scientist at Lynker since September 2022, with prior experience as a Support Scientist at IMSG, where responsibilities included validating and verifying the Unified Forecast System at NOAA/NCEP/EMC. Previous roles include serving as a Consultant for Waters Without Borders/U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, focusing on streamflow modeling under various climate scenarios, and as an Associate Research Scientist at Florida State University's Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies, where atmospheric and oceanic model forecasts were validated. Earlier positions also included an Assistant Research Scientist role, emphasizing weather and climate modeling, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in ensemble forecasting. Lydia holds a PhD in Meteorology from Florida State University, awarded in 2001.
