Esha Datta

Esha Datta is a Senior Data Scientist at Lyra Health since May 2025, specializing in AI and research. Previously, Esha held the position of Senior Data Scientist on the Clinical Effectiveness Team at One Medical from May 2019 to April 2025 and worked as a Data Scientist on the Machine Learning Team at Clover Health from July 2018 to May 2019. Esha began a career in research as a Graduate Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, where a thesis on "Spinal Cord Imaging in Multiple Sclerosis Patients: Applications of Machine Learning and Computer Vision Methods" was completed from November 2012 to June 2018. Prior to that, Esha served as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Acorn Product Development, Inc., Speck Design, and Cepheid from January 2008 to October 2012. Esha holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from Stanford University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD from the UCSF / UC Berkeley Joint Graduate Program of Bioengineering.
