Guillermo Trenas

Guillermo Trenas currently serves as Head of Investment Banking Spain and Managing Director at Macquarie Group since July 2025. Prior to this role, Trenas was Managing Director and COO of Investment Banking Iberia at Lazard from July 2012 to July 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing capital structure and VGB advisory, as well as leading restructuring and M&A advisory initiatives. Earlier experience includes positions at Deutsche Bank as an Associate in the TMT Group from July 2007 to June 2012, and an internship in cash and derivatives sales at Merrill Lynch from February 2006 to January 2007. Guillermo Trenas holds an Essential MBA Associate Degree from Columbia University, obtained in 2010, and a degree from CUNEF, completed in 2007.
