Ashley Buchanan

Ashley Buchanan is currently a Board Member at Macy's. Prior to this, they were the Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandise Officer at Sam's Club from February 2017 to July 2019. Ashley then took on the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Merchant, U.S. eCommerce at Walmart from July 2019 to January 2020.

Under Ashley's leadership at Sam's Club, the company simplified its merchandising strategy and prioritized creating a curated assortment of high-quality items. At Walmart, they were responsible for building the first-party merchandise assortment on Walmart.com, Jet, Hayneedle, Moosejaw, Bare Necessities, Shoes.com and Art.com. Ashley also created the new brands incubation team that works on exciting additions to the omni-channel portfolio.

Ashley Buchanan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in finance and real estate from Baylor University. Ashley then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Baylor University.
