John-David W. Franklin

Senior Vice President at Madison Marquette

John-david W. Franklin is senior vice president of leasing for Madison Marquette. He is responsible for leasing and merchandising the regional retail portfolio in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as new business initiatives, client relationship management and retailer relationships.

John-david has been with Madison Marquette since 2004 and has extensive knowledge of retail leasing and merchandising for life style centers, regional malls, university campuses, outlet centers, community development corporations (CDC) master planning, and peripheral and pad site leasing and development. Mr. Franklin is also responsible for new business initiatives, client relationship management and retailer relationships.

Prior to joining Madison Marquette, John-david was vice president for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Retail Group. He joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2001 and was responsible for the retail leasing and advisory services in the higher education and public institutions practices. He also worked on the re-merchandising of third-party enclosed regional malls.

John-david was educated in Philadelphia. With over 30 years of shopping center industry experience, he is an active member of ICSC, served as state director for Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey, and is an active instructor for both domestic and International Schools for Professional Development. He has been a regular instructor and Dean at the University of Shopping Centers at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

A competitive Masters rower, he is a board member of the Vesper Boat Club in Philadelphia. John-david is also actively involved with USRowing and the alumni associations of the University of Southern California, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Pittsburgh School Of Law.
