Caroline Alting

Employee-elected Member, Board of Directors at Maersk Drilling

Caroline Alting is a Danish engineer who has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 15 years. Caroline started their career as a development engineer at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where they developed a new nickel pulse plating technology. Caroline then moved to Giantcode Tools, where they continued to develop and improve this technology.

In 2003, Caroline joined Maersk Oil as a corrosion engineer. In this role, they were responsible for material selection for oil and gas production, and for monitoring the current state of offshore piping by NDT programmes. Caroline also investigated failures and made recommendations on how to improve the system. Caroline spent 4-8 weeks offshore each year, looking for material errors and new inspection locations.

In 2009, Caroline left Maersk Oil to join the Board of Directors at Maersk Drilling, where they are currently an employee-elected member.

Caroline Alting graduated from DTU - Technical University of Denmark with a master's degree in process technology and materials.
