Jim Powell

Reporting to the President and CEO, Mr. Powell is responsible for the strategic and operational direction of Magellan’s 11 North American divisions across Canada and the United States. Mr. Powell’s responsibilities also include global responsibility for Mergers and Acquisitions.

Mr. Powell joined Magellan Aerospace in 2018 as the Vice President of Mergers, Acquisitions and Strategy, and in December 2019 was appointed to the position of Vice President of North American Operations. Prior to joining Magellan Aerospace, Mr. Powell held several senior corporate development positions across multiple industries as well as having experience in multiple operations functions.

Mr. Powell is a licensed professional engineer, a chartered financial analyst, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Toronto.
