Daniel Diez

Chief Marketing Officer at Magic Leap

Daniel Diez is the current Chief Marketing Officer at Magic Leap. Prior to their current position, Diez served as the EVP, Global Chief Marketing Officer at R/GA from January 2013 to December 2018. In this role, Diez was responsible for leading the marketing and communications strategy for R/GA. Daniel also worked closely with R/GA's global, regional and local leadership to create integrated marketing programs designed to raise R/GA’s profile and generate demand for the company's diverse set of capabilities.

Before joining R/GA, Diez worked at Interbrand from January 2010 to December 2013. In this role, they were responsible for creating and implementing regional and global marketing and communications strategies for the world's leading brand consultancy. Daniel was also Editor-in-Chief for all of Interbrand’s global editorial properties and launched the agency’s first quarterly journal. In addition, they created Interbrand’s first proprietary conference in partnership with Harvard University and a series of bespoke CMO summits focused on marketing trends.

Daniel Diez has a BA with Honors in Psychology and Chemistry from Baruch College. Daniel is also a Mental Health Professional from the American Psychiatric Association. Currently, they are a Medical Student at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Their manager is Peggy Johnson, CEO. They work with John Doherty - CFO, Jennifer Esposito - VP of Health, and Anastasia Lang - Chief Legal Officer.
