Colin Martin

Colin Martin is a design engineer at Magnusson Klemencic Associates. Colin previously worked as a structural engineer intern at the company from June 2018 to September 2018. During their internship, Colin worked on construction administration and design tasks for Rainier Square, a 60-story mixed used tower featuring the first Composite Plate Shear Wall core in the US. Colin also designed a smaller penthouse structure using ASCE 7 loads in combination with RISA 3D, in house design spreadsheets, and Hilti Profis Baseplate Design. In addition, Colin used Revit to obtain information from the collaborative 3D model and performed site walks with the Rainier Square team.

Colin Martin's educational career began at Menlo School. Colin then went on to study civil and environmental engineering at the University of Washington, where they also obtained their master's degree in structural engineering. Finally, Colin Martin holds a certification from the State of Washington in EIT.
