Ailis Burpee is Mailchimp’s VP of Legal, overseeing all of the company’s internal legal affairs. Her team is responsible for legal compliance, legal operations, employment and immigration, corporate and public affairs, corporate expansion, and policy management. Prior to joining the Legal team, Ailis served as the VP of Human Resources leading all of the company’s HR functions related to employee benefits and compensation, health and wellness, employee performance and rewards, employee relations, and people metrics. Ailis received her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Tech and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia. She joined Mailchimp in 2014, having previously worked as an associate attorney focused on commercial litigation at a national law firm.
