Vice President of Legal

Tara Sharp is Mailchimp’s VP of Legal, overseeing the company’s external legal affairs. Tara and her team manage litigation, regulatory inquiries, and other disputes. Her team is also responsible for intellectual property strategy, and advises Mailchimp on data protection and compliance issues. She's a registered patent attorney with a law degree from Georgia State University and a degree in biomedical sciences from Auburn University. Prior to joining Mailchimp, Tara focused on patent litigation and technology law as an associate at a national law firm.
