Mirja Purhonen

Mirja Purhonen is a finance professional currently serving as a Junior Analyst in ESG at Mandatum Asset Management since March 2024, having previously been an Analyst Trainee in the same field. Prior experience includes the role of Sustainability Lead at Skipperi from April 2022 to January 2024, where responsibilities involved developing sustainability strategies, executing initiatives, and conducting emission calculations, alongside a focus on diversity, inclusion, and corporate responsibility. Earlier roles include a member of the operative team at Skipperi, front-of-house staff at the renowned restaurant Savoy, a teacher assistant with Seure Henkilöstöpalvelut Oy, and retail sales positions at LILLY and Terhi Pölkki. Mirja is pursuing a Master of Science in Finance at Hanken School of Economics, expected to graduate in December 2025, and has also studied at Lund University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Hanken School of Economics.
