Mason Hereford has a diverse work experience in the field of satellite and ground system development. Mason started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Arizona in 1999. Mason then worked at Ball Aerospace, where they held various roles, including Antenna Design Engineer, Subsystem Engineer, and Telecomm Subsystem Engineer. At DigitalGlobe, they served as a Senior Ground System Engineer, responsible for the support and maintenance of remote ground terminals and providing real-time support to the Mission Control Center. Mason then joined O3b Networks, where they held roles ranging from Senior System Architect to Director of Ground System Development. Their responsibilities at O3b Networks included defining system requirements, developing hardware and software components, and managing network operations. Mason continued their work in ground system development at SES Satellites after they acquired O3b Networks. Most recently, Mason Hereford joined Mangata Networks as the VP of Ground Development and Operations.

Mason Hereford attended the University of Arizona from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
