Rob Thomas is the Senior Vice President of Global Research and Development at Manhattan Associates. Rob has over 20 years of experience in software development lifecycle management and has been with Manhattan Associates since 2010. Prior to joining Manhattan Associates, Rob Thomas was the Group Vice President of Product Development at JDA Software from 2006 to 2010. Rob was responsible for the complete software development lifecycle management for a supply chain and transportation suite of solutions comprised of 25 internationalized products with over 50 releases a year for a 300+ person development team distributed across 8 locations. Rob also oversaw the development standards, practices, and processes for operational dashboards for build, test, and quality management. In addition, they served as the external and internal liaison for architecture, supply chain, and transportation product development to include support, consulting, sales, as well as clients and industry analysts. Prior to JDA Software, Rob Thomas was with Manugistics from 1995 to 2006 where they served as the Staff/Advisory Programmer and then later as the Group Vice President of Product Development. During their time at Manugistics, they were responsible for leading the evaluation, selection, and development of Manugistics' go-forward architecture based upon the Manugistics framework which enabled a significant increase in JDA license revenue. Before Manugistics, Rob Thomas spent 7 years at IBM from 1988 to 1995 where they started as a Staff/Advisory Programmer.

Rob Thomas earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Music Performance from SUNY New Paltz.

Rob Thomas reports to Eddie Capel, President & CEO. Rob Thomas works with Sanjeev Siotia - Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Deep Sharma - SVP, Global Research & Development, and Stewart Gantt - Senior Vice President, Professional Services.
