Daniel Kleinman is an accomplished software engineering leader with extensive experience in managing and directing engineering teams. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Mapbox since January 2020, Daniel supports the Search API and SDK teams while fostering leadership growth among staff. Previously, as a Principal Software Engineer at The Washington Post from 2015 to 2020, Daniel significantly contributed to a 10x increase in digital subscriptions by optimizing user experiences and checkout flows. Daniel also founded Megapixel Software, delivering a grading system used for numerous assessments and white-label integrations for prominent partners. Additional roles include Lead Engineer at Macaw LLC, Maker In Residence at SmartThings, and Vice President, Chief Information Officer at Colonial Parking, where Daniel managed IT infrastructure and developed key operational systems. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Computer Science from Tufts University.
