Eric Gundersen

Eric Gundersen currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors at Mapbox, having transitioned from a decade-long role as CEO. Under Eric's leadership, Mapbox developed a strong organizational culture and innovative products, resulting in significant business outcomes. Additionally, Eric serves as an advisor for Straightaway and previously held positions as President at Development Seed, where efforts focused on enhancing NGO data usage. Early career experiences included roles as a journalist at the Natural Resources News Service and a designer. Eric holds a Master's degree in Development Economics and International Development and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and International Relations from American University.
