Johan Gyllenspetz

Co-Founder at Mapillary

Johan Gyllenspetz is a Swedish software engineer and entrepreneur. Johan is the co-founder of Mapillary, a street-level imagery platform used by millions of people worldwide, and SettleBox, a storage solution for the sharing economy.

Gyllenspetz began their career as a software engineer at Axis Communications AB, where they worked for four years before co-founding Popdevelop AB, a creative digital studio, in 2010. Johan remained with Popdevelop for two years before co-founding Mapillary in 2013.

Under Gyllenspetz's leadership, Mapillary has grown to become one of the world's leading street-level imagery platforms, with millions of users in over 190 countries. In addition to their work at Mapillary, Gyllenspetz is also an active angel investor and advisor to startups in the Nordic region.

Johan Gyllenspetz has a Master's in Computer Science from Lund University and UC Santa Barbara. Johan also has an education from Gullstrandskolan Landskrona.
